Access for Classes, Workshops, & Puppet Cabarets (Nasty, Brutish, & Short)
We want Rough House workshops, classes, and shows to be accessible to everyone who wants to be there. Some of our events have access accommodations baked in. When they don’t, we’re here to work with you to get you the puppet art you crave.

Here are some access tools we can make available:
Audio Description (A.K.A. Descriptive Audio, Visual Description)
We have a trained audio-describer on the team who would be delighted to add live description to your puppetry experience. For AD and/or a sighted assistant for classes and workshops, please email info@roughhousetheater.com at least 3 weeks before the scheduled event.
This accommodation is typically used by blind and low-vision patrons, but is open to anyone for whom it would make the experience more accessible.
Captioning/ASL Interpretation
Automatic captions will run with all live-streamed performances of Nasty, Brutish, & Short: A Puppet Cabaret (NBS).
If ASL interpretation would make a class, workshop, or other live event more accessible to you, please email info@roughhousetheater.com at least 3 weeks before the scheduled event, so we can secure an interpreter.
Captioning and ASL interpretation are typically used by deaf and hard-of-hearing patrons, but are open to anyone for whom they would make the experience more accessible.
Physically Accessible Entrances and Restrooms
We aim to always hold events in physically accessible venues. Sometimes we do partner with spaces that are not yet fully accessible. Please email info@roughhousetheater.com to let us know what your access needs are, and we’ll do what we can to make the program you want accessible to you.
